Chartway Partnerships Group will be delivering 162 new homes on land between the proposed Education Campus and Major Urban Park in Alkerden Village. The development includes a mix of 2, 3, and 4 bedroom houses and 1 and 2 bedroom apartments, all with access to private gardens or balconies.

25% of homes will be Affordable Housing, and a good proportion of the housing has been designed with accessible and adaptable layouts to meet the requirements of people with differing physical needs.

The architectural design, layout and landscaping has been inspired by Alkerden’s farming heritage, creating a characterful and bespoke neighbourhood within Ebbsfleet.

Chartway Partnerships Group have worked closely with the Corporation’s planning team to create energy-efficient low carbon homes, including a range of sustainability measures. Solar photovoltaic panels are intended for all houses and apartment blocks, alongside air source heat pumps for all houses. Electric vehicle charging will be provided across the development ensuring all homes have the ability to charge an electric car, and a car club facility will be included and made available to all residents within the locality.

The approved housing forms part of the larger development for Whitecliffe which will provide up to 6,250 homes in a unique landscape of cliffs, lakes and green public spaces. The site is located close to the approved Fastrack bus route, which will provide a dedicated public transport corridor connecting Bluewater to Ebbsfleet Central, and within easy walking distance of schools, shops, community facilities and open space.
