Ebbsfleet Development Corporation is celebrating the opening of the new garden city park, named after the 2022 Platinum Jubilee Celebrations, on Saturday 30th July 2022. The Platinum Jubilee Park, located in Ebbsfleet’s Castle Hill, will host Fusion Festival, organised by Cohesion Plus in partnership with Blueprint Arts.
The family friendly festival will have a range of activity for all age groups, ranging from yoga to street theatre, magic shows, superhero walkabouts along with music performances. The festival is free for all to attend, and will be open from 12pm-5pm, with a range of food and trade stalls on offer throughout the day.
Gurvinder Sandher MBE, Artistic Director of Cohesion Plus commented “We are delighted to have the opportunity to produce this festival working with our colleagues at Blueprint Arts. I feel that we have created a positive family focused festival with a wide genre of performances and activities for everyone to enjoy. The arts are a great way to connect communities and create shared experiences. We sincerely hope that everyone who attends has a good time”.
The opening of Platinum Jubilee Park is welcomed by residents in Ebbsfleet who are keen to enjoy the green spaces Ebbsfleet has on offer throughout the summer.
Kevin McGeough, Head of Strategy & Placemaking at Ebbsfleet Development Corporation, is encouraging all local residents of North Kent to attend: “We are delighted to be celebrating this local community event which coincides with the opening of Platinum Jubilee Park, one of 7 city parks which will form a green grid across Ebbsfleet, creating a healthy place where people want to live, work and play. We look forward to enjoying the activities and performances throughout the day and encourage residents from Ebbsfleet and neighbouring communities to visit and explore all that is on offer.”
